Should I do a 3-day or a 5-day cleanse?

If you have never done a juice cleanse before, we recommend starting with small, measurable goals and moving up from there. A 5-day juice cleanse may seem like an easy feat, however, doing a juice cleanse is a challenge so we always recommend starting with a 3-day and if you are feeling fabulous and ready to keep going, you can always add on a couple extra days. Even adding 1 extra day is that much more beneficial. But if you are an “all or nothing” person and love a challenge, start with the 5-day. We are here to support you along the way!

Why is the cleanse package more expensive than the a la carte option?

The cleanse is more expensive per bottle than the a la carte option for many reasons. When you order the cleanse, you are getting a comprehensive program….not just a couple juices delivered to your door. Included in the cleanse is home/office delivery the morning of your desired start date, snack list, support throughout the cleanse with personalized emails, post-cleanse meal plan, smoothie recipe, and the assurance that you are doing the right thing for your body.

Why do you use flax oil?

Vibrant Earth Juices is one of the only cold-pressed juice companies that add flax oil to their juices and for good reason. For the body to absorb fat-soluble vitamins, there must be a fatty acid carrier to get it into your cells. Juice doesn’t contain naturally occurring fat molecules so we add it to the juice at the end of the pressing process. Our organic, vegan oil blend facilitates the body in higher absorption of very important vitamins (Vitamin A, D, E, K), minerals and antioxidants. Furthermore, fat also helps to prevent huge spikes in blood glucose and insulin levels so you get a much more stable absorption of the sugar. Don’t worry…you wont be able to taste it!

How long do the juices last?

The juices last up to one week. We use a cold-pressed method to extract the juice, which does not exert any heat on the nutrients (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants), allowing them to stay viable for more than a couple days.

I heard that you do HPP.  What is HPP?

HPP, High Pressure Processing, is a method which exerts high amounts of pressure on the juice, extending the shelf life and providing a safer juice.  Our founder, Jill, began this company focusing on the benefits of raw juice and how important that was to the health and wellness of her clients.  However, after much research and wanting to make sure her clients were protected from any pathogens that could arise in raw juice, she made the change to go to HPP.  Her extensive research on the nutrient density of the juices after HPP allowed her to feel comfortable moving to this type of processing, as countless studies have shown that the nutrient density (especially that of antioxidants) is protected with HPP.  Please note: this is nothing like heat pasteurization.  Heat kills vital juice nutrients…pressure does not.

How often can I safely do the cleanse?

This question really depends on you. We think its great to do the 3-day cleanse 1x/month because it keeps you mindful of your eating habits, forces you stay accountable with your health goals, and keeps your body nourished and hydrated. However, we have many clients that will do a 1-day cleanse at the start of each week as a way to get back on track after a fun weekend. If you do decide to do the cleanse more than 1x/month, we always suggest adding a little protein (vegan, of course) to make sure that you are still supporting your body’s needs.

Can I exercise on the cleanse?

Yes, you can definitely continue to exercise on the cleanse, however, please be mindful of how you are feeling. If you feel energized and ready to take on the world, getting a good workout in will leave you feeling awesome. But if you are tired, lethargic, and just want to lay on the couch, then do just that! The cleanse is also a great time to be still. The nutrients are helping your body to repair and rejuvenate itself and allowing yourself the time to rest will only make you feel amazing once the cleanse is over. You will finish the cleanse feeling more invigorated and energized than if you push yourself and exercise when your body is telling you no. If you do want to sweat but don’t want to move, sit in a sauna for as long as you can last.

Why should I do the cleanse?

We always tell our clients that the most important aspect of doing the cleanse is becoming more mindful of your eating habits and providing your body with an abundance of wonderful nutrients. We tend to be deficient in many vitamins and minerals without realizing it and the cleanse is designed to help nourish and hydrate all of your cells. While the nutritional and emotional component of the cleanse is very important, you will also see some fabulous physical changes. Your skin will glow, you will feel light and energized, you may loose some weight, sleep better, experience more happiness, have a decrease in allergy symptoms, and it leaves you with a new appreciation of food and having a better understanding of your attachment around eating. We like to think of it as a “mind, body, & soul” experience; one that will challenge you on many levels. It’s for anyone and everyone ready to make a healthy difference in their life!

How many calories are in a day?

All of our juices range between 60 – 180 calories so there is about 1100 calories/day. However, the most important aspect to think about while on the cleanse is not how many calories you are consuming (clearly much less than you are consuming on a regular basis), but the wonderful nutrients you are providing your body.

Are the juices gluten/dairy free/vegan?

Yes, the juices are gluten and dairy free, in addition to being vegan and organic.

Should I take supplements while on the cleanse?

We don’t recommend taking supplements while on the cleanse because the vitamins and minerals in the juices are much more bioavailable for your body to absorb and utilize than any supplement can provide you. However, feel free to continue taking your fatty acid supplements (Omega 3’s, Vitamin D3) if you so desire. As for medication, make sure to take it with a juice (as long as there are no negative interactions) and if you take medication at night, take it an hour and a half AFTER you drink #6 Detox. The flax meal can interfere with the absorption of your medication.

Is there anything else I should add while on the cleanse?

If you want to really make this a very rewarding experience, you can add the following: wheatgrass shots, E3Live, sauna sits, dry brushing, yoga, stretching, shot of apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning, lots of sleep and of course, a positive attitude.
